“Rain, rain, go away, come again another day…” – A nursery rhyme.
We went to this super fun cultural experience in Rotorua, NZ, at a place called Te Puia. We had a fantastic buffet dinner, and then there was a performance. The performance was a Māori collection of dances. I learned that everything the Māori created was given life. They took this very literally, with their weapons having the spirits of their ancestors, with different parts of the weapon representing different parts of the body, and similar things. I highly recommend the experience. We were supposed to go to the nearby geyser, but when we looked outside, we saw rain. I, thinking that it might clear up soon, looked at the Weather Report and saw this:

As you might guess, I did not go to the geyser; instead, I sat in the car while some of my siblings went. As we later learned from them, this was the wrong choice. They stayed dryer than we did while we were going to the car, and they also got hot cocoa and a beautiful sight of the geyser. Lesson: stick through the rain, and don’t be wimpy about being covered with something that makes up 60% of yourself.
